A large gathering of the greatest importance fills the great council chamber with the various representatives of the Divisions & Factions of E.D.E.N. with Head Council, Steven Nixon at the center and chairs the council and audience.
Head Councilman Nixon: I have called for all the Divisions & Factions of E.D.E.N. to assemble for FULL MOBILIZATION! The threat of the Garamedri & Torva Hydax is upon us, our deep space hubs and stations show a massive planetoid like object on its way. The Linamanaree have confirmed it is the Garamedri and Torva Hydax.
The audience stirs of words of (my God),(look at the size of that thing), (how are going to fight that?).
Pointing at the monitor behind him showing the planetoid he goes on to say, The planetoid's roughly three quarters the size of Earth and will arrive at Earth within three days at it's present speed and trajectory. Admiral, Patrick Ward please address the Council.
Admiral, Patrick Ward seated in front of the Council podium stands and speaks.
Admiral Ward: Thank you Head Councilman. As we have all known, we've been preparing for this for several years and hoped it would not come to this, but it has! We are here to defend and protect our worlds, ALL OF THEM and our interstellar family from those that would do us harm! WE WILL FIGHT! To lead this charge into battle I call for General, Mina Owens! General Owens!
General Mina Owens stands: Sir!
Admiral ward: You will take command of the Renaissance Flagship Themis and mobilize and deploy the 9th fleet to Earth.
General Owens: Yes Sir!
The audience mumbles with some looking a bit nervous and others excited: (I feel sorry for the aliens), (I feel sorry for the crew lol), (we'll send them packing), (they picked the wrong system to start a fight with).
Space Scene
The flagship Themis and other ships of the 9th fleet begin massing and mobilizing in orbit of Mars at Tora Station
Themis' Bay Scene
The hanger and mecha bays are full of mecha, fighters and shuttles and a host of attendants prepping arming and diagnosing all. General Owens walking with 2 other officers walks down one of the main corridors as they are walking she says: How is the inventory of weapons and expanders coming?
Officer on the left: Ahead of schedule General, as well as crew, shuttles and fighters.
Colonel Mina Owens: Have you been able to secure the special cargo I requested?
Other Officer: Yes Sir!....I.. I mean Mam, but it wasn't easy and we've only managed to get a dozen of them, but their pilots are set and ready.
As they entered another bay they all looked up at giant shadowy figure and the other covered in large tarps, with General Owens: Smiling excellent, this should do nicely.
Renaissance Bridge Scene
General Owens enters the bridge,
Officer at station 1: 9th Fleet's fully mobilized.
Officer at station 2: Communication reports the planetoid's nearing Earth.
Colonel Mina Owen: Set fold co-ordinances, and open communications to the fleet
Officers: Fold co-ordinances for Earth set Mam! Communications open Mam!
General Owens: TO ALL SHIPS! This is Fleet Commander General, Mina Owens, you have all trained and prepared hard for this day of days! We will stand and defend our worlds from any and every threat the enemy may deliver! We will meet force with GREATER FORCE and WE WILL NOT RETREAT! IF YOU TRY AND RETREAT WITHOUT MY ORDERS YOU WILL BE FIRED UPON! IS THAT 100% CLEAR!
9TH Fleet: ALL CLEAR MAM!
General Owen: NOW ALL SHIPS ON MY MARK... FOLD!
The ships of the 9th fleet begin space folding to Earth.
Earth Scene
The 9th fleet ships emerge from space fold in Earth's orbit.
Officer: All ships report fold success, Nebula and Sunstorm fleets are on standby around Mars and Saturn.
General Owens: Very good and there you are.
The Planetoid stops near Earth and the 9th Fleet faces the planetoid.
Officer: Mam, Earth and Luna have confirmed activation of planetary defense systems!
general Owens: Excellent.
Officer: Mam! I'm detecting multiple contacts of what appears to be a massive fleet heading our way from the planetoid.
Officer: MY GOD LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THOSE SHIPS!
General Owens: SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND STAY FOCUSED, OR I'LL THROW YOU OUT OF AN AIR LOCK!
Officer: Ye..ye..yes Mam!
25 Gigantic ships begin heading toward the 9th Fleet and Earth.
General Owens: Primer the Main Cannon, activate all gun batteries and missile launchers and prepare all expanders and fighters for launch!
Officers: All weapons locked and loaded Mam! Expanders and fighters ready for launch Mam!
General Owens: Take us in. Put the Themis nose to nose with their main flagship.
Officers: YES MAM!
The Themis moves in and is put nose to nose with the Namaglient class Torva Hydax ship which is 10 times larger.
General Owens has a devilish smile (thinking so this is how it begins.... now lets see who blinks).
